2010 Function

The next function is anticipated to be held on the 5 & 6 March 2010. Interest is being sought from members who would participate in an activity which would include an overnight stay at Holmesglen's Rural Learning Centre. Further details will be available in the New Year.

Previous Function

A very enjoyable social evening was held at the Conference Centre, Chadstone campus on 19 March and was attended by 61 former employees, one former council member and 11 current staff. The evening commenced with finger food and drinks and a video outlining the difficult period during which Building 1 was constructed in 1984/5. Following the video a guided tour of the latest improvements undertaken on Level 2, in Building 1, and other changes in adjoining buildings was undertaken.

Following the tour a BBQ of meats and salads was served with the meal culminating in a range of delicious desserts. During the evening a number of 'lucky person' prizes were presented. These prizes were donated by several Holmesglen departments. Lucky winners included: Eric Furby, Jin Ducrow, Gail McRae, Leonie Millar, Laurie Walker, Shaun Findlay, Faye Pattinson, Anne Stocker, Tony Goldsworthy, Keith Berryman, Kerry Doherty, Mary Donald and Marion Jackson.

Not surprisingly, the evening was given high praise by all in attendance.

Members of Friends of Holmesglen have access to the student restaurants on the Moorabbin and Waverley campuses. Short Courses are available on any campus to Members of Friends of Holmesglen at discount prices for courses in excess of $140.00.
