Trowel Trades- Semester Pathway Program

This course is a Semester Pathway program and can only be completed if you are in secondary school.

This program provides you with an insight into the training required to achieve a trade qualification. Particular attention will be given to the correct use of tools and equipment, occupational health and safety, and industry terminology. You will gain some experience in bricklaying, tiling, plastering and stone masonry.

You are required to provide work pants (sturdy long pants), safety boots, safety glasses and earplugs, basic function calculator and builders pencil, ball point pens, ruler, eraser and exercise book.

Attendance

Wednesdays  8.00am - 4.00pm.

Assessment

Assessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects.

Pre-requisites

When undertaking the course, you must be enrolled at a Victorian secondary school.  

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer

You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQTF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
