This course develops the knowledge and skills of individuals seeking a career in marketing, direct marketing, sales, PR or advertising, or individuals who want to improve their overall skills and knowledge in this field. Students who have completed Certificate IV level studies in Marketing, Advertising or Sales, may elect to further their qualifications with this program.

Qualification & Recognition

On completion, graduates are eligible to receive the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing).

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer

Students may be able to shorten the length of their chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.

Course Fees

Fees are calculated according to the level of course being studied, and the number of hours being undertaken, up to Government established maximums. Eligible students are able to access a Government Subsidised Place and certain categories of Full Fee Paying students may be able to access an Eligibility Exemption. Assistance is available in the form of VET FEE HELP or a Holmesglen Payment Plan for students who are unable to afford fee payment up front. Course Structure

On successful completion of the Certificate IV in Business (Marketing) or the Certificate IV in Business (Advertising), students can progress through to complete the units required for the Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications in marketing.

Develop Workplace Policy And Procedures For Sustainability
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop and implement a workplace sustainability policy, including the modification of the policy to suit changed circumstances. This unit requires the ability to access industry information, applicable legislative and occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. While no licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply holistically to this unit at the time of publication, relevant national, state and territory legislation, regulations and codes of practice impact upon this unit.

Assessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects.

Graduates of this course can pursue a range of employment and career opportunities within the field of sales and marketing. Responsibilities can include market research, sales trainee, retail sales assistant, marketing assistant or coordinator, and account service officer or manager.

Graduates of this course may seek entry into university to undertake higher studies, for which exemptions may be granted. Enquiries should be directed to the university concerned. Graduates of this course may also be eligible for entry into an accelerated 'second diploma' semester in the disciplines of advertising or international business.
