Overview
This course has been introduced to provide the training needs of those aspiring to develop, or currently working within, a small-medium business. Comprising 10 units of competency, all units were developed specifically for the unique requirements of operating as a small-medium business. This includes areas of study such as, identifying opportunities, finance management, marketing and general business.
Qualification & Recognition
Certificate IV in Small Business Management is granted on the successful completion of 10 units of competency.
Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer
Students may be able to shorten the length of their chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
Course Fees
Fees are calculated according to the level of course being studied, and the number of hours being undertaken, up to Government established maximums. Eligible students are able to access a Government Subsidised Place and certain categories of Full Fee Paying students may be able to access an Eligibility Exemption. Assistance is available in the form of VET FEE HELP or a Holmesglen Payment Plan for students who are unable to afford fee payment up front. Assessment
Assessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects.
Career and Further Study Opportunities
Students who successfully complete Certificate IV in Small Business Management are eligible to apply for Diploma of Marketing or Diploma of Management, and subsequently an advanced diploma in marketing or management.
