This course involves both practical and theoretical training in the installation and termination of coaxial cabling. It has been designed for trade workers and technical support people who are already working in the telecommunications industry, who need to update their skills to meet current regulatory requirements.
This course is delivered through a combination of theoretical and practical workshop demonstrations and hands on activities on campus.

Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. There are no formal prerequisites for this course, although it is recommended that students have Open Cabling Registration or complete the ACMA Open Registration Cabling course prior to attending.
Qualification & Recognition
After successfully completing this course, you will be eligible to receive a nationally endorsed statement of attainment.
The course provides one of the requirements for registration for the installation and termination of coaxial cable.
This one day course is delivered on campus between 8 am and 4.30 pm.

Type Cost Full Fee $210
Payments options are available to assist with repayment of tuition fees. HELP loans, which are a government loan scheme, are available to eligible students. A Student Services and Amenities fee is payable at the time of enrolment. All fee payments must be completed by the Administrative Date and the final date to withdraw without incurring a Loan debt must be completed by the Census Date.
Individual subject tuition fees are available for higher education programs.
The published fee was current at the time of publication however, due to a rise in resource and delivery costs, full fee programs may be subject to change.
