  • Course Overview

    This course is designed to assist Electrician's Licence holders ( 'A' Grade Licence) to apply for a Registered Electrical Contractors Licence (REC) with Energy Safe Victoria. It is recommended that you contact Energy Safe Victoria to assess your suitability for a Registered Electrical Contractors Licence (REC).

    Training  covers a broad range of the business management skills and knowledge required to operate a contracting business within the electrical industry.

    • Insurance requirements
    • Legal regulations and compliance standards for safety and electrical work

    • Cash flow forecasting and debt collection

    Assessment

    Assessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects.

  • Requirements

    Prerequisites

    Applicants must be:

    • A holder of a Electrician's Licence ('A' Grade Licence or Unrestricted Electrical Mechanics Licence); or
    • The business partner of a licence holder; or
    • The employee of a licence holder.

    Qualification & Recognition

    After successfully completing this course, you will be eligible to receive a nationally endorsed statement of attainment.

    Payments options are available to assist with repayment of tuition fees. HELP loans, which are a government loan scheme, are available to eligible students. A Student Services and Amenities fee is payable at the time of enrolment. All fee payments must be completed by the Administrative Date and the final date to withdraw without incurring a Loan debt must be completed by the Census Date.

    Individual subject tuition fees are available for higher education programs.
