    Have you heard about Raspberry Pi? Would you like to learn how to build amazing Raspberry Pi projects? Check out the Raspberry Pi course brochure.

    This course is designed for people with no experience with Raspberry Pi, who are interested in learning about the power of Internet of Things (IoT) using Raspberry Pi. 

    Raspberry Pi is a versatile, credit card sized computer that can be used for home automation, security monitoring, remote controlling, kiosk games, web kiosks, web servers or even just as a computer. This is your first step in the exciting journey of discovering the Internet of Things (IoT). 

    We will start by introducing the hardware and installing the operating system, with some basic command line instructions. Then you will learn about updating and upgrading the operating system, setting up network and wifi, accessing the Raspberry Pi from a remote application, basic electronics and controlling circuits through the Raspberry Pi.

  • Course Structure

    During this course we will cover:

    • What is Raspberry Pi and what can you do with it?
    • What is the Internet of Things (IoT)?
    • Connect the Raspberry Pi
    • Install Raspbian Operating System (OS) using new out of the box software (NOOBS) and setup wifi
    • Connect electronic components to Raspberry Pi
    • Remote control Pi 
    • Command line and Python3 interpreter basics

     In order to get the most out of this course, you will be required to have basic computer skills.

    Qualification & Recognition

    By the end of this course, you will have enough knowledge and skills to get a Raspberry Pi out of the box, set it up and prepare it for amazing things. These skills can also be further developed in our future courses.

    Program Fees

    Full Fee$183.60

    Payments options are available to assist with repayment of tuition fees. HELP loans, which are a government loan scheme, are available to eligible students. A Student Services and Amenities fee is payable at the time of enrolment. All fee payments must be completed by the Administrative Date and the final date to withdraw without incurring a Loan debt must be completed by the Census Date.

    Individual subject tuition fees are available for higher education programs.
