  • Course Overview

    This online skill set program is designed to provide students who have minimal or no experience the opportunity to learn the latest techniques on AutoCAD 2016. In a simple step-by-step process, by using video tutorials, you will produce basic to intermediate drawings in 2D, which utilise the latest features, commands and techniques.

    After completing the course, students will have an in-depth knowledge and developed skills enabling them to work autonomously and productively with AutoCAD.

    Students will receive support from experienced trainers and over seven hours of in-depth video tutorials. After enrolling with Holmesglen, students are eligible to download a free three year student full trial version of AutoCAD 2016 and the latest industry software from the Autodesk community website.

    • Orthogonal projection
    • Printing
    • Model and paper space
    • Paper space scaling

    Assessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests and practical application projects.

  • Requirements

    Recognition of prior learning

    You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.

    Pathways

    Upon completion students can continue studying with Advanced 2D and 3D Modeling

    Units go towards qualification MEM40105 Certificate IV in Engineering.

    Career Opportunities

    Successful completion of this program will give you the necessary skills to use AutoCAD in a drafting environment.
