  • Course Overview

    This online skill set program is designed to take studentswho have some 2D experience (in topics including 2D Fundamentals) to learn thelatest techniques on AutoCAD 2016. In a simple step-by-step process, by usingvideo tutorials, you will produce basic to advanced drawings in 2D, which utilises thelatest features, commands and techniques.

    After completing the course, students will have an in-depthknowledge and developed skills that enable them to work autonomously andproductively with AutoCAD.

    Students will receive support from experienced trainers andover nine hours of in-depth video tutorials. After enrolling with Holmesglen,students are eligible to download a free 3 year student full-trial version ofAutoCAD 2016 and the latest industry software from the Autodesk communitywebsite.

    Topics include:

    • Inserting and creating blocks 
    • Xrefs
    • Tables
    • Annotative text
    • Scaling and dimensioning in multiple viewports
    • Multiple Layouts
    • Advanced 2D drawings
    • Multi lines and the Design Centre
    • Analysing geometry (Areas, perimeters, volumes, etc) 
    • Tolerancing

    Recognition of prior learning

    You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.

    Qualification & Recognition

    Upon successful completion of this course, you are eligible to receive the nationally endorsed statement of attainment.

    Pathways

    Upon completion, students can continue studying with 3D Modeling

    Units go towards qualification MEM40105 Certificate IV in Engineering.

    Career Opportunities

    Successful completion of this program will give you the necessary skills to use AutoCAD in a drafting environment.
