This course is a Semester Pathway program and can only be completed if you are in secondary school.
There is a lot more to modern building than wood and bricks, and this course will equip you with skills to pursue a career path in building or in the manufacture of building industry products.
During the semester, you will learn about sheet metal fabrication and how it relates to building services. You will learn how to make roof gutters, cladding, roof sheeting, box gutters, downpipes, and ducting.
You will need to wear solid boots or shoes and will require clear safety glasses.
AssessmentAssessment may be a combination of written and practical application projects.

When undertaking the course, you must be enrolled at a Victorian secondary school.
Qualification & Recognition
Upon completion of this course, you will receive a report and a certificate of attainment.
This course is particularly suitable if you are considering a career in fabrication, welding engineering and manufacturing.
This program is delivered on Wednesdays, 8.30 am - 3.30 pm.
