  • Course Overview

    This course in digital marketing is designed to bridge the gap between traditional academia and industry demands by providing you with highly sought-after digital marketing skills. It is ideal for anyone involved in the planning, implementation or measurement of digital strategies – or anyone who would like to pursue a career in this area.

    The training faculty consists of some of the leading digital marketers in Australia, with years of experience in digital and social media marketing. This means your lectures are delivered by practitioners with field-tested knowledge of the best techniques and latest trends. 

    Through dynamic lectures, case studies and small group discussions, you will be exposed to the latest methods, techniques and tools for improving your organisation's digital marketing and brand-building efforts.

    At the end of this course, you will understand the various channels and activities required to plan, implement and manage a comprehensive digital marketing plan. You will develop, create and effectively manage search, social media, mobile, PPC, display and email marketing campaigns, and learn how to drive and improve online conversion rates.

    The world's largest digital brands and agencies work with the Digital Marketing Institute to develop and validate the course syllabuses. This course is approved by the Digital Marketing Institute's Syllabus Advisory Council, whose membership includes Facebook, Google, Twitter and Microsoft.

    The Professional Certification in Digital Marketing course is delivered in Australia by the Institute of Digital Marketing Australia, in collaboration with Holmesglen.

  • Course Structure

    This course consists of 10 modules each being a 3 hour interactive discussion and presentation, delivered one evening per week. Each module has around 100 pages of notes, many tailored examples and cases with references.  The on-campus course also includes two hands-on practical sessions led by industry experts to consolidate your learnings, which are held on Thursday evenings at the discretion of the trainer.

    Students are provided with module notes and practical exercises after each class. In order to get the most out of this course, it is recommended that you commit to 3-5 hours of study outside of the designated classroom time, for each module.


    The Professional Certification in Digital Marketing is assessed by one three hour exam, which is administered by Pearson Vue, via its global network of test centres. Your examination fee ($280.00) is payable directly to the centre when you book your examination.

    This course is recommended for people already working in the marketing industry or with prior marketing knowledge.

  • Outcomes

    Qualification & Recognition

    After successfully completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to sit a three-hour exam administered by Pearson Vue, at a cost of $280, to receive DMI's Certified Digital Marketing Professional Certificate.

    The Professional Certification in Digital Marketing is a non-award Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) course and is suited for people who do not need an AQF level qualification.
