Justice students undertake work placements in the Victorian Police Force.

Justice work placements

Victoria Police is the most requested placement location by Holmesglen's Advanced Diploma of Justice students, as many of them desire a future career as a police officer.

During 2013, Holmesglen had 13 students placed at a police stations within Melbourne. The students participated in a variety of real life experiences and used the opportunity to network.

Field placements make a lasting impact on the lives and futures of the students. One of the students, Taylor Ray completed her two week placement at Belgrave Police Station. "I have done so much awesome stuff! I have sat in on interviews, gone door knocking, attended car accidents and even helped return a horse that had escaped from its paddock!"

Through her placement, Taylor has begun a six month position with the Belgrave Police Station as an unsworn police officer in the role of administration clerk. She has also been accepted into the police academy and start training in November.
