  • Course Overview

    This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to be confident in the use of introductory multimedia and web applications.

    You will learn basic web page design, digital imaging, video, 2D/3D animation and IT support. You will train with applications that include Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier and Autodesk Maya, which will enable you to graduate with a basic portfolio of web design and multimedia work.

    This course is ideal as a pathway for you to study more advanced web and multimedia skills.

  • Course Structure

    To receive this qualification, you must complete 6 core units and 11 elective units. Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications. If you have already completed other eligible elective units, these may be counted towards completion of this program.


    Assessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests, examinations and practical application projects.

  • Requirements

    Recognition of prior learning

    You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Please see Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer for more information.

    After successfully completing this course, you will be eligible to receive the nationally endorsed ICT30115 Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology.


    After successful completion of this course you may gain direct entry into the ICT40315 Certificate IV in Web-Based Technologies or ICT40915 Certificate IV in Digital and Interactive Games.

    Which fee applies to me?

    Due to the different level of government subsidy available to you, there are three possible fee levels for program fees – government subsidised, full fee and concession.

    Your eligibility for concession or subsidised program fees is determined by your individual circumstances such as how old you are, what level of education you have and what type of program you want to study. Concession fees are not available for qualifications at diploma level or above.

    The Holmesglen Information staff can help you determine your eligibility and discuss options if you are ineligible.

    How do I pay my fees?

    VET Fee HELP / VET Student Loans is an Australian Government loan scheme that helps eligible students pay all or part of their tuition fees for diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate and graduate diploma programs.

    Holmesglen also offers a range of scholarships each year which you may be eligible to apply for.

    To be eligible for a VET Fee HELP /  VET Student Loans you will need to meet the VET Student Loans entry requirements.
