Learn essential and innovative practices regarding natural area restoration, plants, fauna, soil, and pest management. Then, roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and experience first-hand just what you'll be a champion of out there in the real world, in our speciality gardens, soil lab and greenhouses – which work in agreement with Parks Victoria, our state's largest employer.

Optional work placements give you the opportunity to work alongside major employers. While Holmesglen's close relationship with the Department of Sustainability and Environment, Parks Victoria, local councils and private sector agencies will also provide the necessary industry introductions while you study.

    Visit us on Open Day for an overview of the Horticulture industry, starting at 4.30pm. You'll get to tour the horticulture department's facilities (at the Waverley campus), talk to teachers and get the information you need to study a course in horticulture, arboriculture, landscape construction and design, parks and gardens, nursery, turf or sustainability.
