    This 17-week course will give you the knowledge and skills you require to apply for employment in a range of highly sought after travel and tourism roles. Holmesglen's simulated tourism office provides you with the latest industry software to complete your studies in a live airline reservations environment, using the highly recognised Amadeus system for fares and ticketing. 

    During comprehensive hands on training, you can explore the world with our enticing destination studies. Discover how to sell impressive tourism products, including cruising, which is the latest on trend holiday, and learn to provide exceptional customer service.

  • Course Structure

    To receive this qualification you must complete 7 core units and 12 elective units. Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from the travel industry. If you have already completed other eligible units, these may be counted towards completion of this program.


    Assessment may be a combination of written and online assignments, tests and practical application projects.

  • Requirements

    Recognition of prior learning

    You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.

    Qualification & Recognition

    After successfully completing this course, you will be eligible to receive the nationally endorsed SIT40116 Certificate IV in Travel and Tourism.


    A further period of full time study will enable you to complete the SIT50116 Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management.

    Which fee applies to me?

    Due to the different level of government subsidy available to you, there are three possible fee levels for program fees – government subsidised, full fee and concession.

    Your eligibility for concession or subsidised program fees is determined by your individual circumstances such as how old you are, what level of education you have and what type of program you want to study. Concession fees are not available for qualifications at diploma level or above.

    The Holmesglen Information staff can help you determine your eligibility and discuss options if you are ineligible.

    How do I pay my fees?

    VET Fee HELP / VET Student Loans is an Australian Government loan scheme that helps eligible students pay all or part of their tuition fees for diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate and graduate diploma programs.

    Holmesglen also offers a range of scholarships each year which you may be eligible to apply for.

    To be eligible for a VET Fee HELP /  VET Student Loans you will need to meet the VET Student Loans entry requirements.
