457 Visa

Holmesglen can assist companies to meet 457 VISA requirements by accepting donations into Holmesglen Scholarship Program.

Holmesglen has an established scholarship program that offers a range of scholarships to assist students from many different backgrounds.

About 457 VISA
The Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) allows skilled workers to come to Australia and work for an approved business for up to four years.

A business can sponsor someone for this visa if they cannot find an Australian citizen or permanent resident to do the skilled work.

Details to be an approved sponsor http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/457.aspx.

About your contribution
Requirements for a 457 Visa involve employers sponsoring the training of the local workforce to demonstrate a commitment to education.

As the nature of the contribution is to establish a scholarship, Holmesglen will not obtain any business benefit from this transaction as the funds will be transferred directly to the student, there is no GST incurred in this transaction.

Holmesglen will recognise the contribution to the scholarship with an official Holmesglen receipt indicating that the contribution is for a student scholarship fund for an Australian citizen in line with the achievement of the training bench mark. The selection of the student to receive this award will be undertaken by our student scholarships board consisting of senior Holmesglen staff and all students wishing to be considered for a scholarship will be required to submit an application.
