VET in Schools
Holmesglen's school programs are delivered in simulated industry environments and taught by industry experienced practitioners who are qualified in both training delivery and their field of expertise. While all programs are customised for secondary school aged students, the curriculum is drawn directly from the certificate or diploma program on which it is based. This enables students to complement their school based studies with industry relevant training while gaining a head start on tertiary and employment opportunities.
Holmesglen offers a number of school programs.
VETiS Courses
The Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) Program aims to prepare you for further education, training and employment. You generally complete a Certificate II level qualification after attending Holmesglen for one day/afternoon a week over two years.
Semester Pathway Courses
These programs provide a great introduction to a study area, and run on a Wednesday for a semester.
Tasters
Holmesglen offers a number of Tasters, which are aimed specifically at Year 9 and 10 students. These programs provide a taste of a particular study area and generally are a day long program.
