New Approach to Vocational Education

Holmesglen Vocational College is an exciting concept in upper secondary vocational education. An Australian first, the College offers vocationally based education and personal development programs to students who have completed Year 10 and turned 16 years of age. SInce February 2007 the college has offered students the opportunity to undertake the Victorian Certificate of Applied learning (VCAL) program as an alternative to VCE within a tertiary environment. 

The College focuses on the education and social development of students, so as to prepare them for further study, employment and participation in society. The programs are delivered within the College's purpose built facilities, with some activities undertaken through work placement. 

The College offers students a pathway into a broad range of study programs and apprenticeships after they have completed their Vocational College education program. Students who attend the Vocational College benefit from the high quality and relevant education they receive, delivered within an environment that engages, extends and supports young people.
