Vision
The four Learning Commons within Holmesglen, Moorabbin, Waverley and two at Chadstone Campus are staffed by a team of highly skilled information management professionals, in a technology rich learning environment. Intrinsic to this high quality service provision is the ongoing professional development of all Learning Commons staff in order to maximise the potential to utilise new learning technologies and developments in information technology and information management. Continuous improvement is a key element to the success of the Commons. By actively seeking feedback from staff and students, this facility provides high quality customer-focused service in support of the Institute's teaching and learning goals. To accommodate clients' individual learning needs, the Learning Commons maximises access to services and resources at a time and place which suits their needs. This flexible delivery of services means clients choose when and where they study, either within the Commons or remotely. Planning for the provision of new technology within this environment is process-improvement driven. Technology is the enabler, ensuring that the Learning Commons environment attracts clients by providing fast, effective and responsive electronic access to its wide range of online learning and information services.

The Learning Commons maintains appropriate print, audiovisual and electronic resources and is committed to the identification and utilisation of appropriate new technologies that improve its customer service and enhance the flexible delivery of its services and resources.
Teaching and learning is supported through the provision of a well resourced multi-media learning environment, where both research and technical support is available for teachers and learners within this facility.
