Services for Staff

The Learning Commons provides access to a range of resources for teaching and research.

You will need your staff ID to borrow books, DVDs, videos and print journals from any Learning Commons branch. To find out more about staff borrowing privileges please visit the Staff Lending page.

There is a Liaison Librarian assigned to every teaching department at each campus. Librarians work with the teaching staff to provide appropriate and current resources for students and staff and to maintain the collections. Liaison contact details are provided in the online Subject Guides.

The Learning Commons provides tours of our facilities and information sessions to help students begin their research. Teaching staff can book orientations, tours or info sessions at any branch.

Your staff login will give you access through our website to the many online resources the Learning Commons subscribes to including the latest journal and newspaper articles in the databases and electronic books. We also provide access to streamed videos.

For teaching and research purposes staff can request items not available in our collection to be resourced from other libraries through our Interlibrary Loan service.
