Sporting Teams FAQ

How often do the sporting teams play?
The Sports teams play once a week beginning in late March / early April and concluding at the end of October. Each sport has a selected day that it plays, however the times of the games will change week to week.

Do I need to go to any training sessions to be a part of the team?
At Holmesglen we realise that students are committed to their studies so we do not conduct regular training sessions. However, if you and your team members would like to hold regular training sessions then we are more than happy to help.

If I am not a very good player can I still play in a sporting team?
Absolutely! We feel that everyone should be apart of a team as long as they are committed to attending the regular games.

Can my friends play on our team?
First priority for our teams is for Holmesglen students, if the teams are short of players then non students can sign up. Please note that the non students will have to fill out the appropriate paperwork before participating.

When I join a team what will I receive in return?
Once you have paid the required membership you will not be required to pay for anything else during the season. All of your team registrations and weekly match fees are included in the membership fee. Every player of our sporting teams will also receive a playing top, a recreation t-shirt, a Holmesglen Cap and Holmesglen Drink bottle.
