Professional Year for Accounting Graduates (SMIPA)
 

Like many other students, after completing his Masters Sid was extremely worried about finding a job. He was facing rejections and had lost all hope. However he reached a turning point when a friend suggested that he study SMIPA at Holmesglen.

SMIPA taught him a range of skills required to be a professional in an organisation. He learnt how to write a professional email, to leave a proficient voicemail and how to be professional during business dealings.

After completing the course, he was placed as an intern in an accounting firm. Due to the skills taught to him during SMIPA, the senior accountants recognised his potential and Sid was offered a partner position by his mentor when he started his own public practice. Today Sid is one of the partners of medium size accounting firm, NS & Associates Pty. Ltd.
