Third Party Access

Timetable Office: 03 9564 1727

Classrooms, computer rooms and lecture theatres across all campuses may be available for external third party room hire, when they are not being used for the conduct of Holmesglen classes. External hiring clients can access Holmesglen rooms two ways:

  • Through the Timetable Office for unserviced rooms, ie no room set up, no catering available, no support provided. Food and drink is prohibited in all classrooms
  • Through the Conference Centre for serviced corporate suites and conference packages including catering.

The following details DO NOT apply to the Conference Centre bookings. All room bookings will be entered into Celcat by the Timetable Office. The general priority given for booking classrooms is as follows:

  • Profile accredited courses and programs
  • Non-profile accredited courses and programs
  • Non-profile, short courses, seminars, workshops, commercial training services, etc.
  • External third party room hire

All third party hirers of Holmesglen facilities must provide to Holmesglen proof that they possess adequate public liability insurance and will meet normal OH&S obligations. Bookings will be scrutinised by the Timetable Office staff and refusal to take a booking may occur if the activity to be conducted is deemed not appropriate by Holmesglen.

Any advertising material used by the hirer must be available to be scrutinised by the Timetable Office, and Holmesglen reserves the right to refuse bookings based on the content ofproposed advertising material. Holmesglen logos can not be used, and the advertising material must clearly indicate that Holmesglen Institute does not endorse the activity being conducted.

No other service is provided to the hiring client except opening and closing of the room.

When using the Holmesglen's facilities, clients must abide by the following rules:

  • When on site hiring clients must provide proof of each and every booking to Holmesglen's security officers if requested
  • Clients must ensure that the room is left in the condition in which they found it
  • Clients may not bring food or drink into the room and may not cook food in the room
  • Clients may not light candles in the room or use any device to create fire
  • Clients must report any damage to institute property immediately to the officer on duty.

Subsequent bookings may be cancelled if these rules are not adhered to.
