The Graduate Employment Service is a free professional
recruitment service aimed at assisting Holmesglen graduates into full
The three main services include: Job Readiness Coaching, Employment Assistance and Information & Resources.
- Job Readiness Coaching aims to increase the effectiveness of your job search, application writing and interview skills.
- Employment Assistance aims to support you in your search for full time employment. You can have your cover letters and resumes reviewed before applying for jobs. To further assist you in finding full time employment, the Graduate Employment Service will contact employers on your behalf to promote you for advertised and future opportunities.
- You will have access to Career Information about
graduate employment offers, career expos and other job related
information. To support your ongoing career development and job
readiness skills, various resources are available.
We understand that moving from a school environment into a work environment can be challenging and sometimes isolating. The first six months of employment are the most difficult as there is a need to quickly fit into a new culture, understand what is expected of you, and learn the company’s processes in order to add value and be recognised for it.
To ensure your success, we will continue to keep in regular
contact to ensure you are settling into your new job.
Who can apply?
If you are soon to graduate or have recently graduated, you can apply by sending a completed application form with your generic resume to: firstname.lastname@example.org or in person at any Student Services office or at the Graduate Employment Service office.
