Scholarships


Holmesglen has a comprehensive awards and scholarships program available to both students and staff. The program is aimed at  fostering the core values of the Institute - ASPIRE - Ambition; Scholarship; Passion; Integrity; Respect and Excellence.

Asylum Seeker Scholarship
Open to any Asylum Seekers who are eligible to study in in all VET programs (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma)

Koori Access Scholarship
For Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander students in all VET programs (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma)

Simplot Scholarship
For Hospitality, Cooker, Bakery or Patisserie student in all VET programs (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma)
Up to $10,000 Open January 1 to March 2 2018.
B'nai B'rith Yitzhak Scholarship
Open to VET students (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma) in all course areas
Up to $1,000 each towards tools and course materials  Closed for 2018. TBA for 2019


Other Scholarships 

  1. CHANCES Scholarship (Boroondara only).  CHANCES is a scholarship program for talented and promising young people who live or study in the City of Boroondara.  The program is aimed at providing opportunities and support for young people in the community experiencing financial disadvantage.  The focus is to provide support to facilitate educational achievements for motivated young people. 
  2. World Vision Scholarship $1,000 grant towards HELP debt or tuition fees. The student must currently be enrolled or have a proof of acceptance into a diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree in humanities/social sciences/international studies at any Australian University or TAFE.
  3. Children of Veterans intending Tertiary Studies.  Please check the website for eligibility criteria and details on how to apply www.avcat.org.au
