Studying the Certificate II in Small Business Operations and Innovation at Holmesglen

During this course, you will learn how to develop and run a small business, focusing on business and employability skills such as marketing, research, event management, planning, social media, financial assistance, and a variety of processes required for small business activities.<p>With the growth of e-commerce in domestic and global markets, small businesses increasingly rely on staff who are capable of contributing to all areas of business, and there are few programs (like this one) to help support this need.<p>This course is VET Delivered to Secondary School Students (VETDSS - previously VETiS) and can only be completed as part of your VCE or VCAL program.

Entry Requirements

Students must be enrolled in VCE or VCE VM throughout the course (and be available to attend or engage throughout all VCAA VETDSS calendar days).<p>Holmesglen must have a contract in place with the school at which you are enrolled at.<p>Your school spends time with you going over pre-training to establish if this course is a suitable pathway for you. You will also be interviewed at Holmesglen. This helps us cater for individual students' needs and ensure that VETDSS is the right program for you.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
