FEES AND PAYMENTS

Student Services and Amenities Fee

A compulsory fee payable by all local Higher Education students.

What is the Student Services and Amenities Fee?

The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) is a compulsory annual fee payable by all Higher Education students at Holmesglen.

The SSAF contributes to the cost of:

  • providing student support services including counselling, welfare services, learning support and other activities provided by the student support and wellbeing teams.
  • supporting the operation of student-led organisations.

How much is the SSAF?

The SSAF amount you pay depends on whether you’re a full time or part time student. The annual maximum amount is set by the Government and will vary according to your study load. The 2025 annual maximum amount is $365.

Students studying on campus and online will be charged the same SSAF based on their study load.

The 2025 SSAF rates are:

  • Full time (18 credit points or more per semester) - $182.50 per semester
  • Part time (less than 18 credit points per semester) - $136.50 per semester

Yes, the SSAF is applicable to all higher education students.

You are required to pay this fee at the time of your enrolment, and at the beginning of each semester.

If you are eligible and do not wish to pay the SSAF upfront, you can defer your SSAF through SA-HELP. The amount of the loan will be added to your accumulated HELP debt. You can use SA-HELP even if you don’t have any other HELP loan.

  • Campus events
  • Student trips
  • Student clubs
  • Holmesglen merchandise
