Holmesglen Events Department recognised at national awards

Our Events Department has done it again, recognised for outstanding achievement at the Australian Event Awards.

The team was honoured with Best Achievement in Event Education or Training for our longstanding partnership with the Victorian State Schools Spectacular. It is our fourth consecutive year as a finalist and the second time we have been announced as a winner.

“The Holmesglen course is an appropriate mix of practical and theory-based learning and includes live production that is not part of any other similar program,” Events Teacher Marc Nichol said previously.

Event management courses open career pathways for students

“My eyes have been opened to so much that is available in the events industry. I didn’t realise that there were so many pathways. Now I’m starting to find my niche,” says events student Bec Bull.

This recognition reflects the quality of our Diploma of Event Management program, which gives students real hands-on experience through strong industry partnerships. By working on high-profile events, students build practical skills that prepare them for careers in event coordination, production management, and venue operations.
