The upgrade, fully funded by the Victorian Government, includes the installation of new solar panels and electric vehicle charging stations at the Moorabbin campus and an upgrade of an existing solar power system at our Drummond Street campus.
More than 630 students have already enrolled this year in solar-based training courses with Holmesglen, Victoria’s leading provider of accredited solar energy short courses for licensed electricians.
Following a tendering process conducted by engineering consultancy FG Advisory, RACV Solar was chosen to install solar panels and a battery storage system which will contribute to students' training in correct installation and set up of commercial-sized renewable energy students.
RACV Solar is an industry adviser to Holmesglen’s Renewable Energy programs, offered as part of the electrical apprenticeship training.
Holmesglen’s two programs: Grid-connected Photovoltaic Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set and Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set are taught at the Moorabbin campus’ Renewable Energy Centre for Excellence.
