The ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology develops practical skills across networking, cyber security, programming and digital workplace technologies. You'll learn to configure and troubleshoot networks, protect systems and data from cyber threats, develop applications using Python, use cloud and digital collaboration technologies, and recommend ICT solutions based on client needs. Delivered through Holmesglen's flexible HyFlex model, the course allows you to attend facilitated classes on campus or online via Webex, according to your timetable. Through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios, you'll also develop problem-solving, communication, teamwork and analytical skills, preparing you for further study and entry-level opportunities in the IT industry.

Studying the ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology at Holmesglen combines hands-on IT training, practical activities and teacher-led learning to help you apply your skills to real-world technology scenarios.<p>You'll have access to Holmesglen's state-of-the-art Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and Cyber Range, along with industry-relevant technologies such as Cisco Packet Tracer, Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad), Wireshark, Visual Studio Code and GitHub Desktop.<p>With HyFlex delivery, you can attend facilitated classes on campus or online via Webex, according to your timetable. Experienced Holmesglen IT teachers provide regular guidance, technical assistance, feedback and assessment support throughout your studies.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for the ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology under the Training Package. However, to study this course at Holmesglen, you must:<br>• Be at least 17 years of age <br>• Have basic digital literacy skills, including the ability to use a computer, mouse and keyboard, and open and close software applications <p><strong>Device and internet requirements</strong><br>If you're using your own device (BYOD) or studying online, you'll need:<br>• A PC or laptop with a quad-core CPU, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, 2 GHz or faster processor, and Windows 10 or higher <br>• Reliable internet access <br>• A headset with microphone and webcam for online classes
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. <strong>Program Delivery Options</strong><br>Full-Time/Part-Time On-Campus Hybrid Delivery<p>• Schedule: Two to three days per week, from 9am to 5pm.<br>• This program is offered in a HyFlex format, allowing learners to attend either in person on campus or remotely via scheduled live WebEx sessions, according to the provided timetable. Please note that mandatory attendance is recorded and monitored.<p>Part-Time Online Delivery<p>• This program is fully online, requiring participation in a scheduled session of four hours per week through teacher-facilitated video conferencing.<br>• In addition to scheduled sessions, learners are expected to dedicate extra time for assessments, task revision, and self-directed study using Brightspace, our learning management system.
