Learn through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on training at <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/about-us/campuses/chadstone">Holmesglen's Chadstone campus</a>. Home to some of Victoria's largest building and construction training facilities, Chadstone provides an ideal environment to develop practical skills across a range of construction trades.<p>Throughout the course, you'll apply your knowledge in a controlled workplace setting while developing practical skills in bricklaying, tiling, carpentry, and painting and decorating. As you progress, you'll build on your skills through practical projects that provide a well-rounded understanding of construction trades and help you explore future pathways in the building and construction industry.

Entry Requirements

All Learners must be enrolled in VCE or VCE(VM) at a Secondary College.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

The CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways is delivered one day a week (Wednesday) for 4 hours over a two-year period.<br><strong>Year One – Foundational Skills</strong> <br>• Focus on foundational core units that emphasise navigating safety requirements within the construction industry. <br>• Master the correct use of tools and equipment. <br>• Apply your knowledge through a bricklaying and tiling project, providing the opportunity to practise essential skills in a controlled workplace setting. <br><strong>Year Two – Advanced Skills and Trade Exploration</strong> <br>• Build on the knowledge and skills acquired during the first year. <br>• Engage in a carpentry project. <br>• Explore other trades, including painting and decorating. <br>• Gain a well-rounded understanding of a range of construction trades.
