Studying the FNS50222 Diploma of Accounting at Holmesglen combines the flexibility of blended learning with interactive on-campus and remote classes. You'll learn from experienced teachers who provide guidance and support as you progress through the course, with learning designed to encourage discussion, critical thinking and the application of accounting concepts.<p>Throughout the course, you'll complete challenging assignments and projects that reinforce your learning and help you apply accounting principles in a range of business scenarios. The blended delivery model gives you the flexibility to participate in both face-to-face and remote learning while staying connected with your teachers and classmates.<p>Digital course delivery is supported through Holmesglen's <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/course-resources/it-help-and-online-tools#accordion-a099c8bf38-item-2b760ff310">Brightspace learning management system</a>, providing access to learning materials, assessments and course resources. Students also have access to <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/library">library services</a>, Webex and a wide range of <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/student-support">student support services</a>, including the <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/course-resources/learning-skills-centre">Learning Skills Centre</a>, <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/student-support/disability-support">disability support</a> and career advice to support their success throughout their studies.

Entry Requirements

Prior to commencing this qualification an individual must have completed the following units of competency (or equivalent).<br>• FNSACC321 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports<br>• FNSACC322 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers<br>• FNSACC418 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry<br>• FNSACC421 Prepare financial reports (this unit is the equivalent version of BSBFIA401 Prepare financial reports).<br>These competencies may have been achieved through completion of the following (or their equivalent):<br>• FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set <br>Or • FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, learners will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
