Studying the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care at Holmesglen

Each trainee at Holmesglen will receive a visit each term from one of our industry expert assessors. These visits offer personalised guidance, feedback, and support, ensuring that you're equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for success in your chosen field.<p>As a graduate, you will be equipped to take on leadership roles in early childhood education, including supervising staff and volunteers, and potentially advancing to positions such as Early Childhood Service Director or Coordinator.

Entry Requirements

Applicant must hold a:<br>• CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care<br>Or<br>• CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.<br>Students must be employed in a Registered Education and Care Service for a minimum of 13 hours per week <p>A current Working With Children’s Check card is required.<br>Candidates are required to participate in a Pre-Training Review.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure


Online classes run from 3pm to 6pm on Mondays (one day per week). Plus, each term requires you to attend two classes on campus from 9am to 4pm on Mondays.
