English for Migrants

Overview

Whether English is completely new to you, or you want to improve your communication skills for work or study, our English for Migrants courses will help you gain confidence and fluency.

We provide a welcoming and supportive environment where you can develop essential language skills to thrive in your community.

Free English classes for migrants – no hour limit

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) provides English classes for migrants with a permanent resident visa or an eligible temporary visa, helping them reach vocational-level English.

Recent changes mean the previous 510-hour cap has been removed, allowing eligible migrants to study longer and gain stronger language skills. If you were previously ineligible, you may now qualify. Learn more on the Department of Home Affairs AMEP page.

Flexible learning and recognised qualifications

We offer flexible study options to suit your needs. You can start with our Certificate I in EAL (Access), designed to help you build practical English skills for daily life, the workplace, and further study.

Pathways to work and further education

Strong English skills open doors to new opportunities. After completing your English course for migrants, you can continue learning with our general education courses or explore specialised training, such as a business and finance course, to enhance your career prospects.

Start your journey

No matter where you're from or what your goals are, we're here to help you feel confident using English in your daily life.
