Vocational Taster Experiences

Explore careers, experience new skills – a perfect practical learning opportunity for government secondary students.

What is the Vocational Taster Experiences Pilot?

Victoria logo The Victorian Government, in partnership with Holmesglen and government schools, is introducing the Vocational Taster Experiences Pilot. The Pilot will support over 2250 Year 9 and 10 government school students in 2025–2026. There are two experiences, which include:

  • Vocational Explorers – for Year 9 students
  • VET Tasters – for Year 10 students

The Pilot gives Year 9 and 10 students in Victorian government schools the opportunity to become immersed in different study areas, which will help inform their future education and career options before choosing their Victorian Certificate of Education subjects for Year 11 and 12. Vocational Explorers and VET Tasters will showcase key skills areas below.
