Cilantro restaurant

Serving fresh and modern French cuisine

Located at our Moorabbin campus, Cilantro is one of our two hospitality training restaurants, and home to world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu Institute.

Patisserie and cuisine students create authentic French cuisine; combined with an exemplary service experience. The restaurant has a fully licensed bar with an extensive beverage list including cellar listed wines, beers, spirits, cocktails and mocktails.

Term 2

Le Cordon Bleu Buffets

As part of their cuisine course and menu planning class, our students are stepping away from their usual à la carte service to present a buffet experience.

Working together as a team, the students will be responsible for designing, costing, ordering, preparing and presenting the menu on the day. They’d like to keep the final menu a surprise - but rest assured, there will be plenty of delicious food and a good variety for everyone to enjoy. (Please note beverages are not included.)

These events are designed to foster a lively, social atmosphere. Guests will be seated at shared tables of 8–10, creating a warm and communal dining experience among fellow patrons.

Dinner

Wednesday 7 May from 6.30pm

Cost: $65pp

Lunch

Friday 23 and 30 May from 12pm

Cost: $55pp

Term 2

Le Cordon Bleu 5 Course Degustation Dinner with Matched Wines

Under the guidance of our Chef instructors, the Cuisine students are creating special set menus designed to challenge their skills while delighting our guests.

These exclusive five-course menus are perfect for food enthusiasts eager to experience something extraordinary.

To enhance the experience, our wine studies teachers have carefully selected fine wines to perfectly complement each course.

Fostering a lively and social atmosphere, these events are designed as a shared dining experience with guests seated at a table of 10 with other patrons.

(These menus may not suit some dietary preferences as it is a 5 course set menu with no other choices available)

Term 2

Cilantro Friday High Tea Lunches

The High Tea Lunch offers a delightful selection of both savoury and sweet creations, expertly crafted by our patisserie staff and students for a substantial and satisfying lunch. Enjoy a tempting assortment of hot and cold savoury tartlets, pastries and finger sandwiches & rolls, followed by an indulgent array of desserts, including tartlets, pastries & scones, jam & cream, as well as beautifully intricate sweets.

Reservations are available for bookings from 2 to 10 guests.

  • Arrival time: 1.15pm, 1.30pm, 1.45pm 
  • $55pp and includes filter coffee and tea (Espresso Coffee, loose-leaf teas, and all other Drinks/Beverages are extra) 

*Unfortunately, we cannot cater for Coeliac/Gluten/Fructose free, Dairy free or Vegan diets.

Cilantro is located at the rear entrance of Building 4 at our Moorabbin campus (down the driveway and past the roundabout). It is also wheelchair accessible.

  • Parking: Pay and Display tickets at $6 flat rate per day.
  • People with Disabled permits do not need to pay for parking anywhere on campus regardless of whether or not they have parked in a disabled zone.

Cilantro has a seated capacity of up to 50 guests and 90 standing for a cocktail function.

Please inform us at the time of booking if anyone in your party has any food allergies or intolerances we should know about beforehand. We can accommodate most common dietary requests such as Pescatarian, Vegetarian and Coeliac meals.

Children's meals are available on request for $30 per person and include a main meal and dessert.
