Build your skills through a combination of classroom-based theory, practical learning and project-based assessment over two years while completing your VCE or VCE VM. Throughout the program, you'll complete theory activities in Brightspace and demonstrate your practical skills by using hand tools and completing construction projects observed by your teacher.<p>As your skills develop, you'll progress from foundational construction tasks to more advanced projects, including building a stool, chopping board and cubby house. This staged approach allows you to apply your learning, develop practical construction skills and prepare for further study through the bridging program or employment opportunities in the building construction and building design industries.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
