The 22614VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship is delivered over two years to students enrolled in senior secondary school, allowing you to achieve a partial qualification while completing your VCE or VCE VM studies.<br>Classes are delivered face-to-face for 4 hours per week, over 32 weeks each year.<br><strong>Class times</strong><br>Wed 8.30am–12.30pm OR 1pm–5pm OR Fri 8.30am–12.30pm OR 1pm–5pm<p>This is a VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) course and can only be completed as part of your VCE or VCE VM program.<br><strong>What you'll learn</strong><br><strong>Year One – Foundational Skills</strong> <br>• Develop fundamental skills and knowledge aligned with construction industry processes. <br>• Complete CPCCWHS2001, focusing on workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures for the construction industry. <br>• Build a strong foundation in essential safety practices before progressing to more advanced units. <br><strong>Year Two – Advanced Construction Skills</strong> <br>• Build on the knowledge and skills developed in the first year. <br>• Complete specialised units designed to develop advanced construction skills. <br>• Gain the practical knowledge required to prepare for work in the construction industry.
