Studying the Certificate III in Carpentry at Holmesglen

This course is delivered in Holmesglen's specially designed facilities, where an emphasis is placed on providing hands-on, practical training wherever possible.
All workshop training is delivered by professional teachers, who have worked as carpenters in the building and construction sector prior to undertaking their teaching qualifications.
Carpenters are the key players in domestic house construction, often the first onsite and the last to leave.
While carpenters have their specific skills and tasks to perform in the building process, they must also have knowledge of all other trades as a carpenter's work often accommodates the other trades who follow them.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 22 years old, and it is recommended that they have worked in the industry for at least 2 years. Additionally, they need to demonstrate English language proficiency at the following levels: IELTS 6.0, ISLPR 2+, TOEFL 197 (CB) or 46 (iBT), PTE Academic Score of 42 (no communicative skill score less than 42), Cambridge English: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) of 47 or its equivalent.
For equivalent English language tests see .
