The Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician Apprenticeship (Telecommunications) equips you with the skills to work on a variety of electrical installations, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects. As a licensed electrician, you’ll also be responsible for maintaining electrical equipment across the industry. Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.<p>Holmesglen requires all applicants to be engaged in an Electrical Apprenticeship. You must be signed up as an Apprentice with your chosen employer and have a Delta number stating Holmesglen is your selected training provider.
It is recommended that applicants have completed Year 11 or equivalent and have a minimum of Year 10 English and Mathematics.<p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
The Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician is a prerequisite for Energy Safe Victoria's Electrician's Licence. It equips you with skills and knowledge essential for success in the electrical industry.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Assessment

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

How to apply

Apprenticeship

Additional Course Cost

The required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) students will need to supply: <br>- Safety boots (steel capped, ankle height) <br>- Safety pants <br>- Safety glasses <br>- work shirt (waist length jacket if cold) <br> Total costs for PPE is approximately $200-$250 (depending on brands)
