Entry Requirements

Holmesglen requires all learners to be employed with an ESI provider, and registered in an ESI Apprenticeship agreement. <p>Applicants must be at least 16 years old and above to enrol in the program to meet the minimum age requirements for training and working in the Electrotechnology field in Victoria, determined by the regulators Energy Safe Victoria (ESV).
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, apprentices will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining suitability of the course, verify the training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Assessment

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

How to apply

Apprenticeship

Additional Course Cost

Due to the high risk nature of the work, the PPE and equipment required by apprentices and workers in this industry are supplied by employers, in accordance with the award.
