Studying the Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations at Holmesglen

The program includes:<br>-Understanding and following work instructions, procedures and other requirements<br>- Hazard identification and implementation of controls<br>- Selecting and inspecting a skid steer loader. Responding to faults<br>- Operating a skid steer loader to perform designated tasks<br>- Fitting and using attachments for various operations including loading and carrying<br>- Making the skid steer loader safe at the end of the shift-<br>- Reporting<p>The program and assessment cover the theoretical and safety knowledge that underpins these activities as well as well as opportunities to practice and demonstrate all the skills and required tasks.

Entry Requirements

- Construction Induction Card (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) <br>- At least 6 months’ work experience in civil construction or relevant industry <br>- Plant ticket for roller or other mobile plant <br>- Current employment in relevant industry and referral from employer <br>- Minimum of 18 years of age
Prior to enrolment you will be required to complete a pre-training review and may be asked to complete a language, literacy and numeracy test. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course and identify any learning support needs.
A pre training review will be conducted which covers the entry requirements.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
