Studying the Licence to operate a forklift truck at Holmesglen
You will be guided by experienced trainers who provide practical, hands-on training.<p>In this course, you will develop skills in:<p>- Planning and preparing for work tasks<br>- Performing required checks, such as site inspections, forklift pre-start, and operational checks<br>- Conducting hazard assessments and implementing controls<br>- Assessing, lifting, shifting, lowering, and monitoring loads<br>- Interpreting and acting on communications<br>- Performing shutdown procedures<br>- Working in compliance with legislative frameworks, safe work procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and worksite requirements<p>The program includes both theoretical and safety knowledge that underpins these activities, as well as opportunities to practice and demonstrate the required skills and tasks. Participants will also have the chance to sit the WorkSafe-mandated assessment for the High-Risk Work Licence as part of the program.
Entry Requirements
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
