Entry Requirements

Learners must be at least 18 years of age when enrolling in the program. <p>To enter this program, you are required to have completed a Certificate III in Plumbing and the PLUMLICSS1 – Plumbing Licence for Common Units Skill Set.
You will be required to complete a pre-training interview prior to your enrolment or commencement of training. These will assist with determining your suitability for the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

Timetable

This program will be delivered through scheduled face-to-face sessions. The delivery format consists of 4-hour evening classes held once a week for 16 weeks.<p>PLUMLICSS7 - Plumbing Licence in Water Supply Work Skill Set comprises of a mandatory unit, which is prescribed by the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) and must be completed to qualify for a plumbing license in the specialisation of Water Supply. This unit provides foundational knowledge and skills necessary for plumbing works in the field of water supply:<p><strong>CPCPWT4011 Design and size heated and cold-water services and systems</strong><br>This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to design, size and document the layout of heated, tempered and cold-water services, flushing systems, and hydrant and hose reel systems for residential and commercial multi-floor buildings.

Outcomes

Qualification and Recognition

On completion you will receive the PLUMLICSS7 - Plumbing Licence in Water Supply Work Skill Set. After the successful completion of the competency in this Skill Set (water supply) and the PLUMLICSS1 - Plumbing Licence for Common Units Skill Set, learners will be eligible to sit the external VBA exams and upon successful completion, apply for plumbing licensing status for the specific “Class of Plumbing”.
