Course Overview

The 22588VIC Certificate III in Enabling Technologies is a VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) program for students in Years 10–12 who want to build practical skills in Cyber Security, Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Technologies and Information Technology. Through hands-on learning, you'll develop technical knowledge, problem-solving and workplace skills while exploring future careers in the digital economy. The course provides pathways to further study in Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering, Software Development, Programming and Networking. Successful completion also provides VCE VET Unit 1–4 credit, with the Unit 3–4 sequence contributing a 10% increment towards your ATAR score in accordance with VCAA requirements.

Studying the Certificate III in Enabling Technologies at Holmesglen

Studying at Holmesglen gives you a practical, hands-on learning experience that prepares you for further study and future careers in technology. Through real-world activities and projects, you'll develop skills in Cyber Security, Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Technologies and computer hardware while building problem-solving, teamwork and workplace communication skills. The program is delivered through a blended learning model, giving you the flexibility to attend classes on campus or remotely via live WebEx sessions. Throughout your studies, you'll be supported in developing the knowledge and confidence to succeed in the rapidly evolving digital technology industry.

Entry Requirements

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
