Overview

The 22588VIC Certificate III in Enabling Technologies prepares secondary school students in Years 10 to 12 for careers in emerging information, communication and digital technology roles. This two-year VET program helps students develop future work skills while completing their final years of secondary school. Learners gain practical experience in computer hardware installation and repair, Internet of Things (IoT), cyber security threat detection, securing private information, building workplace security awareness, teamwork, supporting business decision making, health and safety, and investigating emerging technologies and their job roles.<p>The program includes three elective streams: Cyber Security, IoT, and Hardware Technician. Students also receive VCE VET credit for Units 1 to 4, which can count as a fifth or sixth subject for ATAR purposes and provide a 10% increment to the ATAR score, giving both academic and career advantages while completing secondary school.

Entry Requirements

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
