Studying the Certificate I in Transition Education at Holmesglen

At Holmesglen, you'll gain practical skills through hands-on projects and receive strong support from experienced teachers. Develop social skills, confidence, teamwork, literacy, numeracy, and tech safety while improving your health and independence. With small class sizes of up to twelve, enjoy personalised learning. The course also includes a work placement or project and a two-night camp for real-world experience.

Entry Requirements

Students must be 16 years of age.
You will need to have:<br>- a desire to complete the course.<br>- interest in gaining employment, progressing to further study or taking part in community life.<p>You will need to come to a meeting with a parent or carer to find out if the course will meet your needs.<p>During the meeting, you will be asked to complete a literacy and numeracy task to assess your support needs. A teacher will help you to complete the tasks.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Additional Course Cost

Students may be required to obtain a National Police Records check for placement or voluntary work. The approximate cost is $50.
