Entry Requirements

• Learners are typically 16–30 years of age<br>• Evidence of a diagnosed intellectual disability is required<br>• Learners may present with complex learning needs, including dyslexia and/or dyscalculia<br>• Demonstrate ACSF literacy and numeracy at Pre-Level 1<br>• May be undertaking other study or participating in the community through employment, NDIS-funded programs, adult day programs or part-time schooling<br>• Have identified a need to develop foundation literacy and numeracy skills<br>• Some learners may attend with NDIS-funded or privately employed support workers<br>• There are no formal language, literacy or numeracy prerequisites<br>• Course outcomes align with AQF Level 1, focusing on reading, writing, oral communication, and using numerical information such as money, time and measurement in familiar contexts

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.
