Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. To receive this qualification, you must complete 15 units in total, comprising of 8 core units and 7 elective units. Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications.<p>vocational outcome. Required personal protective equipment students will need to supply is: Safety boots (steel capped, ankle height) Safety pants <br>Work shirt (waist length jacket if cold) Safety glasses Ear protection <br>Hat for sun protection <br>Sunscreen (if exposed to sunlight) <br>Safety gloves (if handling building materials) Notepad & Pen <br>The total cost of these items is between $250 - $300 <br>If additional safety equipment is required, it will be supplied by the Institute.
