Entry Requirements

<strong>Recent Secondary Education (within the past two years)</strong><br>Applicants with recent secondary education are those whose eligibility is based on the completion of VCE (or equivalent) within the current year or the previous two years. <p>Applicants must have successfully completed one of the following: <br>• Units 3 and 4 in English other than EAL with a study score of at least 25<br> • English as an Additional Language (EAL) with a study score of at least 30. <br>ATAR will be considered as part of selection considerations.<p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of this higher education program, learners must complete a literacy and numeracy assessment. This will assist in identifying any learning support needs. <br>Applicants are required to attend an interview and provide certified copies of relevant qualifications.<p><strong>Vocational Education and Training (VET) Study</strong><br>Applicants who have completed an Australian VET Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from any Australian Registered Training Organisation will be considered for entry.<p>Applicants who have completed the Diploma of Hospitality Management may be eligible for advanced standing with credit. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the course leader. <p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of this higher education program, learners must complete a literacy and numeracy assessment. This will assist in identifying any learning support needs. <br>Applicants are required to attend an interview and provide certified copies of relevant qualifications. Your entire academic record will be considered as part of selection considerations. <br>Advanced standing will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. <p><strong>Higher Education Study</strong><br>Applicants who have previously commenced or completed subjects within a higher education course, at a university or non university higher education provider, either recently or in the past, are encouraged to apply.<p>Applicants transferring from another education provider, or those seeking to change to the Bachelor of Hospitality Management at Holmesglen, may apply for advanced standing. Applications are assessed on an individual basis, with credit granted for subjects where equivalency in content and learning outcomes can be demonstrated in relation to the degree.<p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of this higher education program, learners must complete a literacy and numeracy assessment. This will assist in identifying any learning support needs. Applicants are required to attend an interview and provide certified copies of relevant qualifications. Your entire academic record will be considered as part of selection considerations. <p><strong>Work and Life Experience</strong><br>Applicants with relevant work and life experience who completed secondary education more than two years ago, and who have not undertaken VET or higher education study since, are encouraged to apply.<p>Relevant experience may include a combination of mature age entry, employment or professional experience, community involvement, or other life experiences that demonstrate a minimum of five years' work experience in the hospitality industry or a related occupation or the capacity to successfully undertake higher education. This may also include participation in non formal learning activities that support academic readiness or are relevant to the study of Bachelor of Hospitality Management.<p>Prior to enrolment or commencement of this higher education program, learners must complete a literacy and numeracy assessment. This will assist in identifying any learning support needs. Applicants are required to attend an interview and provide certified copies of relevant qualifications. Additional Course Cost

Total additional costs for 3-year degree: $2,000 (approx). <br> <br>As an applied degree, the Bachelor of Hospitality Management is focused on immersing you in a variety of valuable industry experiences. These support and add value to your learning in the classroom, and form the basis for assessments in many units. The exact details and cost will vary each semester according to the units you are enrolled in, but will include industry-related activities, excursions and study tours. Annual overnight trips to our regional campus "Holmesglen At Eildon" are included. You will only ever pay additional costs where Holmesglen is required to pay a third party - many industry engagement experiences are provided without charge.

Tuition Assurance Requirements

Under the Higher Education Support Act 2003, Holmesglen Institute must meet tuition assurance requirements for persons, other than overseas students, who are enrolled in the higher education courses we offer in the event we cease to provide a course of study in which a student is enrolled.
