Studying the Bachelor of Hospitality Management at Holmesglen

Based at our <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/about-us/campuses/glen-waverley">Glen Waverley campus</a>, Holmesglen’s Bachelor of Hospitality Management combines practical learning with industry-focused experiences to prepare students for careers in the global hospitality industry.<p>Students learn in industry-standard training environments including Holmesglen’s fully operational ZEST training restaurant, cocktail bar, computer laboratories, classrooms, and immersive hospitality retreats at the <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/about-us/campuses/eildon">Holmesglen Eildon Campus</a> and Conference Centre.<p>Throughout the course, students gain hands-on experience using hospitality business simulation software, hotel property management systems, and industry-standard business applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.<p>These facilities replicate real hospitality industry environments and support experiential, collaborative, and practical learning opportunities across hospitality operations, tourism, events, food and beverage, and hotel management.<p>Digital course delivery is supported through Holmesglen’s <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/course-resources/it-help-and-online-tools#accordion-a099c8bf38-item-2b760ff310">Brightspace learning management system</a>, with access to learning resources, assessments, collaboration tools, <a href="https://www.holmesglen.edu.au/current-students/library">library services</a>, and digital learning resources that support hospitality and business learning.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for entry into the Bachelor of Hospitality Management, international applicants must meet the following requirements:<p><strong>Age Requirement</strong><br>• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the commencement of the course.<p><strong>English Language Requirements</strong><br>• English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS Academic 6.0 (no band less than 6.0) or an accepted equivalent.<br>For English language tests and equivalents, refer to the <a href="https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/student-500#Eligibility">Australian Government Department of Home Affairs</a><p><strong>Academic Requirements</strong><br>Good passes at Year 12 or the overseas equivalent. Applicants may also be considered on the basis of:<br>• Completion of an Australian Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline; or<br>• Partial or completed higher education study at a recognised university or non university higher education provider.<p>All applications are assessed on an individual basis in accordance with Holmesglen’s admissions policies.<p>Applicants who have completed the Diploma of Hospitality Management may be eligible to receive credit towards the first year of the Bachelor of Hospitality Management, subject to the Holmesglen’s credit and recognition of prior learning policies.

Additional Course Cost

Total additional costs for 3-year degree: $2,000 (approx). <br> <br>As an applied degree, the Bachelor of Hospitality Management is focused on immersing you in a variety of valuable industry experiences. These support and add value to your learning in the classroom, and form the basis for assessments in many units. The exact details and cost will vary each semester according to the units you are enrolled in, but will include industry-related activities, excursions and study tours. Annual overnight trips to our regional campus "Holmesglen At Eildon" are included. You will only ever pay additional costs where Holmesglen is required to pay a third party - many industry engagement experiences are provided without charge.

An additional administration fee may apply where the application is submitted directly to Holmesglen and not through a Holmesglen-approved education agent.
