Studying the Certificate III in Tourism at Holmesglen equips students with valuable foundational skills for the travel and tourism industry. In this hands-on course, students learn to evaluate and integrate information from a range of texts, including brochures, online resources, industry systems, and trade publications. Practical tasks involve creating travel plans, interpreting data from charts and schedules, and utilising an industry booking system to book flights and issue domestic air tickets. Holmesglen’s supportive learning environment features specially designed facilities and experienced teachers who guide students through real-world scenarios. Offered as part of the VET Delivered to Secondary School Students program, the course can be completed within VCE or VPC studies, with successful graduates earning credits towards their diploma and expanding career opportunities in the tourism industry.
